Pediatric Skilled Nursing at Home

Skilled Nursing, Delivered at Home

When your child needs medical care that only a licensed nurse can provide, you shouldn't have to choose between a hospital hallway and doing it alone. Recovery Path Healthcare brings pediatric skilled nursing into your home — registered nurses and licensed practical nurses who care for medically fragile children across Georgia, under a physician-ordered plan of care.

What Our Nurses Do

Our RNs and LPNs handle the medical tasks your child's condition requires:

  • Tracheostomy care and ventilator support
  • G-tube and NG-tube feedings
  • Seizure monitoring and response
  • Oxygen monitoring
  • Wound care
  • Medication administration and management
  • Vital-sign monitoring and clinical documentation

Every visit follows your child's plan of care, and our nurses coordinate with your child's doctors so everyone stays on the same page.

Conditions We Commonly Serve

We care for children with a wide range of complex needs, including:

  • Neurological conditions and seizure disorders
  • Respiratory conditions requiring trach or ventilator support
  • Genetic and congenital conditions
  • Developmental delays with medical complexity
  • Conditions requiring feeding-tube support

If your child's diagnosis isn't listed here, call us — if a doctor has ordered skilled nursing, we can likely help.

Why Home Beats a Facility

  • Your child sleeps in their own bed, surrounded by family — not in a ward.
  • One-on-one attention. At home, the nurse's focus is entirely on your child.
  • Fewer infections. Home care avoids the exposure risks of facility settings.
  • Family stays in charge. You're part of the care team, not a visitor.
  • It's covered. For eligible children, GAPP and Georgia Medicaid cover skilled nursing at no cost to the family.

Covered by GAPP and Georgia Medicaid

Most of the children we serve receive skilled nursing through GAPP (Georgia Pediatric Program) or Georgia Medicaid — which means no cost to your family. We verify eligibility, handle the paperwork and prior authorization, and bill Medicaid directly. Learn about GAPP
